Baba ghanoush, also spelled baba ganoush or baba ghanouj, is a Levantine appetizer of Lebanese origin consisting of mashed cooked eggplant, olive oil, lemon juice, various seasonings, and sometimes tahini. It may be served with onions, tomatoes, or other vegetables.
